Use your first team writing assignment. Take the two to three comparable products (or, do additional research to find some) on the market today that are similar to your own. Collect the following information about each product:

• Price
• Materials
• Availability

Then, write two to three brief paragraphs comparing each one to the current pricing, materials, and availability you anticipate for your own product. Finally, write one more paragraph explaining why your product will be an improvement upon, or a better alternative to, the designs you've found and analyzed.

One last note: this piece of writing should serve as a starting point for the introduction and non-technical portions of your Final Design Report (FDR). In other words: the more thoughtful you are with this assignment, the easier it will be to write and finish your FDR later.
